Image / Video 4 / 21

Sunshine duration in Latvia Starting in August 2019 the Latvian Environment, Geology and Meteorology Centre (LEGMC) is including satellite-derived sunshine duration data from the CM SAF in its monthly climate monitoring: https://klimats.meteo.lv/laika_apstaklu_raksturojums/2023/

The SARAH-2.1 climate data record of sunshine duration from 1983 to 2017 is used as the climate reference for the calculation of the monthly anomalies using the most recent data from the SARAH-2 ICDR. The automatic monthly data transfer to LEGMC is established via a ‘standing order’.
